Dawn McVeys Challenge Week 2

I stalk Dawn McVey's blog. So, I was very excited when I saw she too was starting a color challenge. {The more the merrier right??}
I didn't get a chance to participate last week, but WOW she got a lot of support on that one....woo hoo. I wanted to try it out this week. I like these colors, but not what I normally use for a card....again the word challenge comes to mind....but I gave it a shot. This is a side view of what I came up with. I wanted to show the dimension on the card. I used my on board long board with my sizzix die cut machine and viola....dimension.
This is what the card looks like from the front view. I totally stepped out of my comfort zone on this one, but had fun with it. Thanks Dawn for a fun challenge.
Stamps: print pattern, define your life, tiny talk
Ink: basic brown
Paper: chocolate chip, taken with teal, certainly celery, very vanilla cs
Accessories: ek success edge punch, sizzix scallop oval frame, long board, fun serif uppercase sizzix die, twine, random ribbon and random button.

Color Throwdown Challenge

This was probably one of the hardest challenges I have ever participated in. Below you will see the colors we were challenged to use....challenged was the right word. This is what finally emerged.
I had so much fun creating last night. I sat and watched "Just Like Heaven" on TV and just played. Good Times!!
Stamps: Great Friend
Ink: Purely Pomegranate
Paper: Tangerine Tango CS, Purely Pomegranate CS, Kiwi Kiss CS, Whisper White CS, Bella Rose DSP, Purely Pomegranate DSP

Our Creative Corner Challenge

Our Creative Corner had a harder challenge. They used colors I have NEVER used before....not quite navy and more mustard. I'm so glad they did because I really ended up liking those colors together. All of the colors this week were Bashful Blue, More Mustard, and Not Quite Navy. This is what I came up with. Just a little close up of the colors together. Like I said, I never would have used these colors together, but really liked the outcome.
Stamps: Time Well Spent
Ink: More Mustard, Not Quite Navy, Wild Wasabi
Paper: More Mustard CS, Not Quite Navy CS, Whisper White CS, Bashful Blue CS, DSP Bashful Blue
Accessories: Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon, 1" circle punch, BIGZ scallop envelope die

KWerner Challenge

I love Kristina Werner's color challenges. I haven't participated in a long time, but decided to jump into them again. I love card challenges because they give me an excuse to play with paper. This is the side view of what I came up with.
I need to figure out a good way to take better photos, but until then here it is.
This was the first card of three that I made last night....it was a fun night {big cheesy grin}.

Precious and few are friends like you

Okay, so I'm starting a new blog for my paper creations only. This way family that wants to see pics of the family don't have to be bored with my paper creations, and those that come to see my paper creations don't have to be inundated with pictures of my family. Works out better that way......I think.
I made this card a while ago, but wanted to start the blog off with a picture of a "paper creation". I want to jump back into the card challenge world, so I need to get the hang of giving the recipe for the card.
Eventually I'll figure it all out.
