March Madness Day #3

Hello again. Isn't this fun???? Well, I'm having fun at least. I promise not all my cards and ideas are going to be green and about St. Patrick's day. I actually have some cute Easter stuff to post too....but later. I also got a fun box of new toys today....I just can't wait to get in my play room and make some fun stuff with them for you guys....I LOVE new toys!!!

Today's card is similar to yesterday's in the fact that it uses the Go Green stamp and Glorious Green cardstock, but it has a little more details in it than yesterday's card. Do you notice the texture on the white background? I finally broke down and got the texturz plates and the rubber and texture plate I needed for my Big Shot. This texturz plate is the Perfect Details Texturz plate. It's fun to use and I like how it looks. I think we just might have to play with these at the next club meeting.....what do ya think? For this card I used the Love Notes from the Occasions Mini Catalog, that is the white paper with the image stamped on it with the little shamrock. Those Love Notes sure are cute. The shamrock is the tiniest heart from the Heart to Heart punch. I just cut a little piece for the stem and added a clear rhinestone in the middle and a little highlight with my white gel pen. I added the Love Note to some Glorious Green cardstock, paper pierced around it.....I do love my paper piercer...paper pierced around the textured white paper that I adhered to some more Glorious Green. I adhered those two together with some stampin dimensionals, and I was finished. Then I remembered to do something to the inside and added a shamrock with the leftover hearts from the Heart to Heart punch.

I think the shamrock is a little too big for the inside, but it's glued in there and it's staying.

So, have you been inspired to stamp a little something each day? I know life is busy and we don't always have time, but don't we feel better when we do?
Go find 15 minutes and make something fun today....hide in the bathroom if you have too....just take your supplies in there with you!!!
Until tomorrow.....make it a good one...It's Hump Day!!!! Hooray for that.

See ya tomorrow.

March Madness day #2

Edited to add: I just noticed that the dates are showing February. It is because I got these posts ready to go on the days that it says it is posting, so I could just get up and hit post. If you've ever blogged you know how much time it takes to upload pictures. So, just pay attention to the Title of the post, not the date...that's what will tell us what day of March Madness we are on. Sorry for the confusion.
I thought that since March is mostly known for shamrocks, and the color green, I would dedicate today's card to those 2 very things. I have to tell you that I saw this card and had to CASE it. It was so stinkin cute. And.....the best thing about it is.....it was posted originally by a MAN!!!! I have made a card similar to this idea, but loved this one too. So stinkin cute....and so stinkin simple. You are going to have that small heart punch on your wish list before this March Madness is over......even you Erin...(he he he) What makes this card so much fun is the way it is put together. I just took a typical 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of cardstock in Glorious Green. I scored it in half and then the front flap is scored in half again and folded forward towards you. Hopefully you can understand from the picture below. I added the Whisper White to the inside and stamped with Glorious Green ink the Go Green stamp image in the bottom corner.

Then I took a piece of Green Galore and cut it to 6 1/2" x 3 3/4" and scored it at 2 1/4". Then looking at the picture below you can see that I adhered it to the underneath side of the folded Glorious Green. I punched out 4 Glorious Green hearts with the Large Heart punch, and 4 Whisper White hearts from the small heart punch, and glued them to the front like a shamrock. I added a 1/4" whisper white ribbon and I was done.

So cute and so simple. How cute would these be to make and give to the girls .... or guys, at work? With a little bag of green candy....too much fun.
See you tomorrow for another cute St. Patty's day card.

Have a great day everyone.

And were off.....Day One of March Madness

Woo Hoo!!!!

The first day of March Madness has begun.

I'm excited. I think this will be fun to do every day. I hope you guys all enjoy it as much as I do.

For the very first card, I thought I would start simple.

I used the following supplies:

Real Red, Only Orange, Yo Yo Yellow, Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise & Whisper White cardstock.

3/4" circle punch, small heart punch & 1/8" punch

Tempting Turquoise 1/4" ribbon

Teeny Tiny Wishes & With All My Heart stamp sets

Tempting Turquoise & Real Red stamp pads

To assemble:

1. Cut 5 colored cardstocks into 1" x 3" strips.

2. Punch with 3/4" circle punch about 1/2" up from the bottom. Do this with all 5 strips of cardstock. I took the first one I did and drew with a pencil, a guide from the circle already punched. I just turned over the cardstock and the pencil mark didn't show.

3. Punch a heart from each color cardstock with the small heart punch.

4. I layed out all my strips with the holes punched out on my whisper white cardbase, to make sure they were evenly spaced apart. Then I adhered them with adhesive.

5. Add each punched heart into it's coordinating strip of paper.

6. I stamped the "with all my heart" image with real red ink.

7. On a 1" x 2" strip of white paper I stamped the friend to friend image from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

8. I punched a hole in the corner with the 1/8" punch and added the Tempting Turquoise ribbon.

9. I cut out a notch at the end of the strip, and attached it to the card with adhesive.

It was a fun and an easy card to make....So do you want that small heart punch yet????

Now go stamp something fun yourself.....Go....Have fun!!!

See you tomorrow for a cute St. Patrick's Day card...

Stamping 411 color challenge #112

What happens when you go on Stamping 411's blog and you take all these supplies? You get this......I used to do tons of card challenges from different blog sites, and have just gotten out of the loop. I decided to hop back into some of them. Stamping 411 is a great one for all those Stampin Up stampers, because that's the product they focus on, with lots of challenges and great tips. Try it for yourself.
I kept this one simple and let the focus be on the packages and message. The challenge this week was to use the colors: Pixie Pink, Tempting Turquoise and Green Galore....very bright colors, but fun colors I must say. I used the Happy Moments stamp set.....I love this stamp set BTW..... I just stamped the image onto all three colors of cardstock and then on whisper white. I cut out the packages from the different colors, and glued them onto the whisper white image. This way, it gave me the bow on the whisper white for the top package.
Easy Peasy.
Have a wonderful day everyone.

P.S. March Madness is coming, and I'm getting ready.....It should be tons of fun.

"Purse"onaly Tote Stamp Camp

I realize I need to get better at my blog posting now, and so I will!!!
I have just been so busy with a baby shower for my daughter in law. Now, that that is over....I have more time for blogging. I will have to post later some of the cute things I did for her shower....I think I took pictures....anyway.
On to the reason for this post. I showed the ladies at stamp club Thursday night this adorable purse tote. It holds 4 full size cards, a note pad, pen and 3 bookmarks. Here are some close up pictures of the details.
The front with a pocket that holds the notepad and pen.
The back side which holds 3 bookmarks....or it could always hold some type of candy....I'm sure something yummy would fit in there .
This is the purse opened to reveal the 4 cards and envelopes tucked lovingly inside.
The four cards.....

A closer look at the notebook, and bookmarks. It is a super fun project to put together. It is made with The Write Stuff Specialty Paper from the catalog, and one pack of paper will make 2 purses.....one for you and one for a friend.
Sound tempting????? I would love to have you join us for Stamp Camp. The cost will be a total of $30.00. It will include all the supplies to make one completely, and enough paper to make another one. You would just need to supply the ribbon, brads, library clips, notebook, and pen for your 2nd purse. I will also have sustenance for your needs that day.
I will be having this stamp camp on Saturday, March 6th @ 10:00a.m.
If you would like to attend, let me know by Sunday, February 28th so I can get the supplies ordered. You can email me @ pandie143
@aol.com....friends are welcome too.
