The Sweet Shoppe

What an amazing display. Stampin Up had this wonderful little corner just full of fun ideas. They called it the Sweet Shoppe. How adorable is all this? These are just the big candies with 10 small candy bars in them, all wrapped up and decorated. What a great party favor.
These used the sweet treat cups.
A cute party invitation idea.
I just wanted to reach in and grab one of those cupcakes and eat it. I did restrain myself however.
If you look real close you can see that they decorated these boxes using embossing folders. They were really pretty in person.
How cute are these little pumpkins....just for decoration at a party...and so simple to make too.
Now these were my absolute favorite. We will be making these at one of our club meetings I can guarantee that. Yummy in the tummy.
Cute christmas card.
How cute is this little baby buggy made with the circle die?
Just a bunch of box #2 dies all decorated cute. It made me want to be invited to whatever party those were going to be at....hahahaha
Some more cute cards. If you look real close you can see buttons wrapped in cello bags to look like little candies....so cute.
These are a sneak peek at a new die coming out in the new Holiday Mini Catalog, that I can't wait to get my hands on. How cute are these for a Halloween party favor.
These are the cute little milk carton dies with a peek a boo window punched out and cute little bats from the new bat punch. Another must have.
Cute Halloween card ideas.
I love this stamp set. I NEED to make this!!!!
More fun Halloween ideas.
I love this owl punch. It's pretty cute on these brown paper bags.
More cute ideas.
Another cute little die box wrapped up cute for little party favors.

How cute is this? Who wouldn't love a birthday gift wrapped up cute like this?
And these are just a FEW of the MANY cute things there. I wish you could have seen it in person. It was just the cutest little area. Needless to say it was always crowded with everyone trying to get pictures. It just made me want to plan a party and do some of these fun ideas.
I hope you enjoyed these, and got some ideas for your next party.....I hope I get an invite.
Thanks for peeking in.
Have a great day.

In the mail New Catty Swap...

Like I didn't have enough swaps to make for convention, I went and signed up for some in the mail swaps. Silly me!!! I love to get new ideas from others, and figured what better way to do it than with swaps. So, that was the meaning to my madness. These are the two different cards I made for these swaps. I got both of these ideas ..... yep from convention....I got this cute card idea from Carol Seitz. You can see her blog here. It uses the cute Level 2 hostess set Cute by the Inch.
I had to make 6 of each card. I will then get 5 different cards back and then the lady that hosts the swap gets to keep the other card. I think that's a fair deal.
This is the other cute card I made for the same swap. I just signed up for 2 spots. I got this adorable idea when we went and visited the home office in Riverton. Oh my gosh, what a fun place. Guess where my camera was on that day???? Yep, on my bed in the hotel room....what was I thinking????? I used my camera phone to capture some of the photos I just had to have. This card was one of them. I like it because it is simple and cute.
Again, I had to make 6 total. I'm really excited to see what I get back. When they arrive in the mail, I will post them and share with you.
I think I am going to make more of this card for friends. It's just tooooo cute.
Thanks for peeking in.
Have a great day.

Fun ideas from convention....enjoy!

One of the great things of convention is all the ideas they have on display for the demonstrators. Here are some of the many pictures I took of those ideas. Aren't they cute? I am definetly going to be making some of these for Christmas cards this year. All with punches.

I hope you enjoyed just a few of the ideas. I will be posting more each day.....stay tuned.
Have a wonderful day.

My 1st Convention was a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so everyone that has been to convention before told me I would have a great time. Well, boy were they right. Especially when you have this great lady as your roommate. This is Chris Twardowski, my new BFF!!! She is so darn sweet, and so much fun. I told her I would only come to convention from here on out if she would be my roommate.
Here we are waiting in line for Momento Mall on Wednesday morning. It was a lot of hurry up and wait there, but worth it. While we were standing in line everyone was swapping cards and laughing and having a great time. Here we are again in the Gathering Place where you can take your pictures on some pretty big stamps. Can you tell what the theme was this year??? "Share what you Love".
These were the ladies that are in my upline and we sat together each morning for the General Sessions. From the right to left is Pat, Vonda, Chris, Sue and me. A fun group of girls.
On Saturday, the last day, Stampin Up gave everyone a free bundle of new products coming out in the Holiday Mini catalog coming soon. It was valued over $40.00. I will have to take a picture of all the free loot I got over the 5 days I was there. Stampin Up is really a great company and they sure know how to take care of their demonstrators.
Do we look exhausted? Because I mean to tell you, I haven't been this tired in a long time. It is a good tired, but oh my goodness.
I realize this being my first convention that I needed to take more pictures of the fun we had. I was just so in the moment, I didn't think to take pictures of it. But, I do have lots of pictures .... I took over 450 pictures. I will be posting them with all the great ideas we got, and some of the fun we had over the next few days, so keep peeking in for those.
I will be so happy when I finally catch up on my sleep.....
Have a great day everyone.
Thanks for peeking in.

What I've been doing....

These are the swaps I was able to get done for convention. You can see there is a lot of paper and stamped images on that table. Not as many as I would have liked to make, but I'm lucky I got these all done. These are the only swaps I was able to put together that are just for swapping with anyone at anytime. I made 30 of them. They use the new Aviary stamp set and I just love those colors together.
Isn't that Aviary stamp set great? I think it is going to be one of my favorites.
Then I put together what was left of these from my Open House. These are for a swap with the 17 ladies from my upline that are going to be at convention. We are meeting for dinner at Olive Garden on Friday night, which also happens to be my birthday, so it will be a really fun night I'm sure. I will have to rememeber to take pictures to post when I get home.
Then I made 50 of these cute little baby cards. I didn't realize all the little details that I put into this card until I started mass producing 50 of them. These are for an organized swap with 50 people that signed up for a pajama swap. So, I'm off to buy some cute jammies today. We will be swapping these in the hotel lobby at 9:30p.m. in our jammies. It should be fun or interesting.
I used the new Baby Bundle stamp set and paper pieced the little baby buggy, added a brad, ran the Early Espresso piece through the Lattice empression folder after punching the edge with scallop trim border punch. Like I said, a lot of steps, but I think it turned out pretty cute.
These are also for an organized swap of 25 people. These are people that signed up through the UStamp with Dawn and Friends group I followed. We will be swapping these early on at convention. We are doing this swap on Wednesday at 4:30p.m.
I used the new In Colors for this card. The more I use those colors the more excited I get that the In Colors will be around for 2 years now, not just one.
These are the little triangle boxes I showed earlier. These are also for an organized swap of 3D items. These will be swapped the same time the ones just above are being swapped. It is with the same group of people.
These had to be bagged and tagged. I included the directions, since they are so easy to make, and I love that no adhesive is necessary.
So, you can see I have been a very busy girl. I leave early in the morning and will be back on Sunday. I'm very excited. This is my first Stampin Up Convention experience, and hopefully not my last. I will post all the fun when I get home and recuperated.
Have a wonderful week everyone.

Triangle Box Tutorial

I know I promised earlier this week that I would post the directions on how to make this super cute, super simple triangle box....Sorry it has taken me so long. I have had the pleasure of having strep throat this week....I know you're jealous, but maybe next time it can be you. ; )
Anyway, onto the super easy directions. I sure do hope I explain this where you can understand easily.
First off, take a pice of 3x6 piece of Designer Series Paper and score it at 3". Then fold it in half, and mark with a pencil at the top, the middle. It is very important that this mark is made at the TOP.
Get your cutter/scorer and make sure you are using the black score blade....I accidently cut one once because I wasn't paying attention....and put the marked spot at one point on the scoring/cutting line and one of the corners of the bottom on the other end of the scoring/cutting line....and score it.
Then flip it around, and do the same thing to the other corner and the marked piece. I sure hope I explained that well. It makes sense to me. (big grin)
Now fold in the four scored sides. It should start looking like this.
When all four sides are folded in, it will look like this.
Take your crop-a-dile and punch a hole on each side for the ribbon to go through.
This picture is awkward....but I wanted you to see...heck I don't even know what I wanted you to see....just go to the next picture...hahahaha
This is what it looks like with all four sides punched with holes.
Then you take the ribbon and pull it through the holes.
This is what it looks like with the ribbon through it. Before you pull the ribbon too tight, fill your cute little triangle box with candy of your choice....as you can see....mine was M&M's.
This is the box filled with candy and tied up all nice.
Then decorate however you would like.
Wasn't that easy?
In my next post, I will show you what I have been doing this week getting ready for convention. I leave on Tuesday. I'm so excited.
