Embossed Framelits

How fun to make this card.  I had cut out this white label from the framelits die and it then just sat on my desk.  I wasn't sure what to do with it.  Then, I realized that the oval designer embossing folder fit it percfectly, I then knew what I wanted to do.  Ironically enough I had everything on this card cut and just sitting on my desk, and I had to figure out how to put it together.  So, I guess you could say it was a scrap card.
Now if can just figure out what to do with all the other scraps on my desk.   hahahahaha

Thanks for peeking in.

See you again soon.

Framed Tulips with a twist

I saw this card out there in blogland, and loved the twist using the framed tulips embossing folder.
In order to do this technique you have to have the card cut 11" x 4 1/4" and folded in half, with the fold at the top.  That way you can get just one side of the folder to emboss.
And then of course, I had to use that wonderful punch Blossom.  I love it!!!
This was a fun card to make, and simple.  I love that combination.

Thanks for peeking in today.
And where has March gone?  I can't believe it's almost over already.  Wow!!!

Make it a great day today.

Sympathy and Prayers

Sadly I had to make another sympathy card for a friend.  A really good friend of mine's husband passed away last week.  So, this is the card I made for her.  I had made these flowers from the Vintage Vogue stamp set a couple years ago.  I had them cut out and everything, but had still not used them.
I saw a card very similar to this one somewhere out there in blogland or pinterest, one of the two.  So, since I already had the flowers stamped and cut out, I used them to replicate this card.
I really like this card, and think it could be used for lots of different occasions, just change out the sentiment.  I haven't used Regal Rose in what seems like forever, so it was fun to bust it out.

Thanks for peeking in today.
Make it a wonderful day!!!

Loving the quilted look

The last card that Christine wanted to make at club was a quilted card.  So, I busted out the postage stamp punch, punched out 12 squares from the wonderful Everyday Enchantment paper from the sale a bration catalog.  I have to admit that I've stocked up on that paper.  I LOVE it.
They line up very nicely, then we ran it through the lattice embossing folder and it's magical how it makes it look quilted.
And of course when you make a quilt, to me, buttons go with it, so I threw on a button with a little ribbon.
That Poppy Parade envelope was made using that new diagonal plate for the simply scored.  They make up sooooooo easily.  I love how now you can make a matching envelope for your card in no time flat.
Here was another envelope I made using some retired DSP.  I love how you have a fun envelope for your cute card, and then the inside is all decorated already too.
I totally recommend you get the diagonal plate if you don't have it yet.  It is soooooo worth the $11.95 that it costs.
So those are the fun things we made at club last Monday.

Thanks for peeking in today.
Make it a wonderful day today.

Mouthwatering

At club Monday night, my hostess, Christine wanted to play with the new stamp set Mounthwatering and the new scented embossing powders.  So we did.
I gave the ladies the option of making one of the two cards.
I have to say that that scented embossing powder really does smell amazing.
The minute you take the lid off you smell it and your mouth does water.
Tomorrow I will show you the other card we made with the Send me Soaring stamp set.

Thanks for peeking in.
Have a wonderful day.

Mixed Bunch

I can't believe that it has almost been a month since my last blog post.  Where does the time go?
I have been having fun in my craft room playing with all kinds of fun new stamps.
The one stamp set and punch that is my favorite right now is Mixed Bunch and the new Blossom punch.  I sure do hope these make the new catalog coming out in June.
Here are 2 cards I have had fun making.
These cards both made up pretty fast once I decided what to do.  I do have to say that I am NOT happy with my leaves on this card.  I think they need a softer more rounded leaf.  Oh well.
I also used the Elementary Elegance stamp set from the sale a bration catalog for the sentiment.  I really like the font for this Hello.
So one of the reasons it has taken me so long to blog is because it was such a pain to upload pictures to my computer.  The way I used to use wasn't working and it made it a long process to get the pictures to the computer.  I got lazy and just forgot to blog.  Well, I had a friend tell me she was missing my blog posts, so I thought I would give it another try.....and yippee hooray.....it was working.  So, I have a lot of cards and fun envelopes that I've made with the new Simply Scored diagonal plate that I have uploaded and just need to get posted.
So, just maybe I will have another blog post here soon.
