I've been a busy girl...

I haven't posted in a week because I've been busy getting ready for my Open House this Saturday. We will be making 4 cards, and 2 boxes for fun gifts. I have been making and coming up with fun ideas for these cards.
This is one of the cards that we will me making on Saturday....with a few changes. It is a 3"x6" sized card. The base is Daffodil Delight with little stripes of Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade. The saying is stamped in Old Olive and is a Hostess Level 3 set named Occasional Quotes. The butterfly uses the Beautiful Butterflies die cut with some pearls down the middle. It's simple, but cute!!! Not to mention easy and fast to throw together....two important things to remember when having an Open House.
This card I made is actually one of 4. I made a set of 4 of these to give away as a door prize to some lucky winner. I have to give credit where credit is due though. I totally case'd this card from Chat Wszelaki. You can see her card here.

This gable box is one of the 2 boxes we will be making on Saturday as well.
This is a close up of the decoration on the front of the box. It uses the For All You Do stamp set and the 2 step bird punch. I totally cased this from the new 2011 catalog. You can see the original on pg 17. It was made up as a card, I just changed it to the gable box.
Again, easy and cute.

Then, just for fun because I think I'm going to offer these cute little purses as a class, I made Becky Roberts cute little Tres Chic handbags. You can go here to see hers and buy the tutorial if you'd like. I think they are so cute. There are a total of 3, but I 've only made 2 so far.
So, you can see I have been a busy little girl lately. It's been fun though. I am just patiently waiting for the arrival of all my "new" items that I ordered on July 1st. They did ship today, so I'm hoping they will get her by Thursday.
Hope you're having a wonderful day.
Thanks for peeking in.
